Today was one of those precious and rare days when I got to have a date with just Bryttain; my middle child, my big girl. She is getting so big so quickly and growing increasingly independent and yet when it is just she and I, she can be my little girl again. She revels in the attention and it is so sweet. She got out of the car and instead of running ahead, asked to hold my hand. I just had to capture it and I am so glad I did!
We walked downtown and stopped at a creamery, chatting while she had an ice-cream and I drank tea. It was so fun. I love my girl and desperately wish we could do this more often. Anyway, I had to include a few more photos...one just was not enough.

What an absolute doll!! I know the enjoyment of being able to focus on just one child at a time. It seems to bring that child into focus and all the joy of who they are rises to the surface. . . precious times!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo. Really moving. So glad you got a date with Bryttain, I know those times can become very rare.
