So Monday was Bryttain's birthday. Let me tell you that this little girl was excited to turn five. This is the year she will start school, the year she will move up from Cubbies to Sparks, she will graduate to a new Sunday School class...there is just so much to look forward to.
We have our moments, she and I, but she is a joy! She reminds me that life is to be enjoyed and that we should laugh EVERY DAY. She can find fun in anything. She loves to help and is grateful for the little things, she has a sweet nurturing side that is understated and unassuming.
There was no demanding on her big day. She opened one present before Arran went to school then waited (pretty patiently) until the afternoon when we were all together again to open the rest. She requested the same chocolate cake that I had baked for Arran for his birthday and was excited to pick out a pink, flowered booster seat to take with us on our upcoming trip back to England.
As has seemed to become our little tradition, the birthday girl then got to choose where we would go for dinner. Not surprisingly she chose the same restaurant that Arran had chosen just a couple of weeks prior. She really does admire and look up to her big brother. It is very sweet.
I am so proud of the girl she is growing to be. I have high hopes for her. Happy Birthday my pretty Britty!
