On your marks...get set...
Tomorrow we fly to England, for nineteen days, all five of us! We have not made this trip in five years, at which time we had one two year old and a baby, so this trip will be very different. We really will be making memories this time, and the children will be investing in relationships to make them more tangible.
Sure we could spend the money and go somewhere tropical, with a beach, or save the money instead of spending it (especially as we do not really have it anyway) but family is important. There is excitement in the air, and maybe I am a bit overwhelmed or even in denial as to how much still needs to be done. Piles of clothes, half-packed suitcases, never-ending mental lists...
This time tomorrow though, we will have just taken off and there will be no turning back for anything forgotten. Anything we might need we can buy there anyway and so I must stop procrastinating and go take care of that 'to do' list...now!

Have a fabulous time!! It will be so worth it. And I don't envy you the late night packing tonight! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Jen, I know, we just need to get through the next 24 hours and then it will all be worth it :) We're even debating making it up to West Kilbride and taking Arran to the island he was named after...but we'll have to see.
