I was bound and determined that we would do photos for a Christmas card this year and get it done in plenty of time. I picked out our outfits, checked sunset times, told everyone a couple of days in advance and got oks on the clothes choices.
The kids are so cute and we started out pretty well.
The sweet girls danced together for me and giggled.
And although there were a series of over 50 with Bryttain pulling a grumpy face because she'd decided she'd had enough and would rather be playing with friends (who'd knocked on the door as we were heading out) we still managed to get some of us all laughing together.
And even one at the end of James and I.
Love my precious family, SO much!

Jenness
Last weekend we went for a little family trip to Jenness Park. I love spending time with my little clan and we had such a great time. I enjoyed the fact that even though our cabin had a kitchenette we opted for their meals, it made it really feel like a break instead of still having to cook and clean. The weather was perfect and last week's kayaking with the cousins meant there was no learning curve for kayaking here. The kids loved fishing too, although James was the only one to catch anything. Looking forward to visiting again next year.

A special day
Jenny Weaver, our lovely ex-babysitter is no more....she recently got engaged and moved away to go to school and today was her wedding day; she is now Jenny Bjerke!
I had the complete honor of taking photos of her getting ready (which you can soon see a sneak peak of over on my photography blog). Then our whole family came back for the wedding itself. She was radiant, and beautiful as ever. She is such a special young lady, so giving and genuine with a love of people and especially children. Our children love her and miss her now that she is no longer here. We miss her too and need to find a new babysitter!
I had bought the girls their first ever matching dresses yesterday and they looked adorable. Bryttain was so excited to get to dance in her pretty dress and see Jenny in her princess dress. We even managed to get a friend to take a family photo of us, which we were in dire need of as the last photo we had of the five of us was before Asia was even six months old.
